Cleaning the bathroom is one of the most daunting tasks around the house. But we also love the feel of entering a bathroom that is clean and tidy. Therefore, in this article, I’m sharing with you guys five easy bathroom maintenance tips, which will help you keep your bathroom clean.

There is no doubt that cleaning bathrooms are the hardest with all the nooks and crannies. But putting it off is also not a viable option as the bathroom area is prone to dirt and germs, which can cause infection. When you clean your bathroom, it does not only keep it spotless, but it also keeps it germ-free.

When you renovate your bathroom, you select the best quality sanitary ware like that from AGL Bath ware, and then you try and maintain the quality of those products, but we all know that is quite a difficult task. Fret not; here I’m sharing five easy & effective tips that will help you to keep your bathroom clean.

So, without further ado, let’s look at them.

Tip-1: Taps & Shower Heads

When the bathroom sanitary ware comes in regular contact with hard water, lime scale builds upon them, and rather than using harsh chemicals to clean them up; you can use a homemade solution. Take an equal part of water & vinegar, and then wipe the faucets with a microfiber cloth soaked in this solution.

Similarly, showerheads often clog because of hard water and so they should be cleaned regularly. After cleaning faucets, you can take the remaining solution and submerge the showerhead in it and soak it overnight. Clean it the next day with a microfiber cloth and it will good as new.

Tip-2: Countertops & Cabinets

Countertops are very easy to clean if you maintain them regularly. Clear the countertop of all the decor or styling equipment, and then proceed to dry dusting. Take a purpose cleaner and spray it on the surface. Now take a towel and wipe it down. And voila, it is clean and sparkly.

It is necessary to keep the cabinets in the bathroom clean as well. Make sure you regularly take out all the waste things and expired medicines. Now wipe the cabinets with a wet cloth and also add a few naphthalene balls to keep the insects at bay.

Tip-3: Floor & Ceiling:

You do not have to do a thorough cleaning of the floors and ceiling frequently. Once a year is more than enough, considering you dust the cobwebs away with a long-handled duster every once in a while.

For thorough cleaning of the floor and the grout lines, clean them with water and vinegar solution or some baking soda paste. Make this solution at home and spread that evenly, then let it sit for a few minutes before cleaning with warm water. Also, do not forget to clean the corners where dust tends to collect the most.

Tip-4: Washbasin & Toilet Bowl:

Cleaning a bathroom sink is a simple process. First, wipe the surface with a dry cloth to remove any dust or hair lying around. Now, clean it with an all-purpose cleaner, and if some stains are more stubborn, sprinkle some baking soda on it and scrub it with a toothbrush. Finish it up by rinsing thoroughly with water.

One of the most tedious parts of cleaning the bathroom is cleaning the commode. I mean, everyone dislikes this part. You can use your regular cleaner or disinfectant to clean the toilet. Spread it evenly on the surface, and leave it for 20 minutes and do a thorough scrubbing using an old toothbrush. You can also empty a bottle of cola into the toilet bowl and let it sit for 15–10 minutes. It makes the cleaning process so much easier.

Tip-5: Mirror

Last but not least is cleaning the mirror. It is just a 2-minute job. But they do need regular cleaning as they often get sprayed with water when using the sink or even get streaked after a hot water shower. Just spray the mirror with glass cleaners and wipe it down with a paper towel for a stain-free shine.

By following these tips, you can easily create a safe and sanitized bathroom for your home’s inhabitants and guests. If you have any more suggestions, kindly share them with us.
